About the book

The Prophet is Coming! takes that one joyful question and hands it to children. Ebrahim and Maryam brush their teeth, pick their brightest white clothes, lay out the honey and the bread, and imagine every single thing they would do if the most beloved visitor knocked at their door tonight.

Along the way they discover that welcoming him was never really about the house. It is about the heart: kind words, good manners, generosity, big dreams — and a plan to do lots and lots of good deeds, to prepare for the day that they would all meet.

About the author

Hira Sheikh

Hira Sheikh is a mom of three — two girls and a boy — who absolutely loves writing books and poetry. Her favorite places are libraries and bookstores, where she hides from the hot Fresno, California sun.

When she’s going about her day at home, she often wonders whether she would do things differently if the Prophet ﷺ were coming to visit.

The illustrations are by Laila Ramadhani, whose warm, glowing artwork appears in many beloved Islamic children’s books.

When will my pre-order ship?

As soon as the print run arrives. You’ll get an email from Hira when your copy goes in the post — and you can always reply to that email to ask where things are.

What does it cost?

$15 for the book, plus $5 flat shipping anywhere in the United States, however many copies you order.
